Who is Ultrac?
Ultrac AB is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is an
extremely innovative company that specializes in developing monitoring and
measuring devices for utilities. Our customers can be found among water
and sewage works, district heating companies but also process industries.
Business concept
Ultracs business concept is to
deploy high-tech electronic signal processing to solve specific problems
connected with leakage monitoring of distribution pipes for water and
district heating. These problems are well-known to those who are charged
with maintaining networks, and solving these problems would bring about
substantial saving of time and money, and in many cases even solve problems
that had up till now been impossible to tackle.
Our products
Among our products are the lately developed Ultrac
Leak Finder, with the adaptable Ultrac Hydrophone. These products are unique
and covered by letters patents. The unique feature is that they are capable
of successfully identifying leaks in two types of distribution pipes that
could up till now not be monitored in an effective way. The first type
consists of plastic pipes which in later years account for the major part of
all newly laid pipes. Therefore, the market potential of the product is ever
increasing.
The second type consists of pipes
from all materials with greater diameters (more than about 300 mm). Here the
sound propagation properties are much the same as for plastic pipes. Such
materials may be steel or concrete.
